Privacy policy

In short: this website uses no tracking and no advertising networks and loads nothing from third-party servers. A cookie is set only when you sign in to the customer account. We process data only when you send us something – and only for that purpose. The only transfer to the USA is the AI assistant, and only if you start it explicitly (section 7).

This is a translation for your convenience. The German version is the binding one.

We are not required to appoint a data protection officer. Please send privacy questions to the address above.

2. Hosting and visiting the website

The website runs on our own server at Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, located in Germany, under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

When a page is requested, the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, time, requested address, amount of data, browser identifier. Error and security logs are used only for troubleshooting and defending against attacks and are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for that. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is secure and reliable operation.

3. Cookies and tracking

Without signing in, this website sets no cookies. If you use “send as enquiry” in the AI assistant or “request quotation” in a tool, the page briefly keeps your input in your browser's session storage to carry it into the enquiry form; it is deleted right after, at the latest when you close the tab (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). If you sign in to the customer account, we set a technically necessary session cookie (sp_konto, 14 days, sent only for account functions). There are no analytics or advertising services, no social media plugins and no Google services. Fonts, images, videos and scripts are served by us.

4. Enquiry and contact forms

When you submit a form, we store your details – name, company, e-mail, phone, your message, chosen dates and attached files such as drawings, 3D models or photos – on the server named above. Our own order system takes the enquiry over within minutes; the files are then deleted from the web server and the other details after 90 days. If an enquiry has not been taken over after 180 days, we delete it including its files. Uploaded files are checked for their file type on arrival; executable programs are rejected. We are notified by an e-mail sent via the mail server of IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to a contract at your request); where you give consent, also Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. We delete the details once your enquiry is closed and no contract is concluded. If an order follows, records are kept for the statutory periods under German commercial and tax law (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO: up to ten years).

5. 3D price calculator

If you upload a model to the 3D calculator, the file is sent to our server, measured and priced. For the price estimate alone, the file is not stored. If you send the estimate as an enquiry, we store your contact details, chosen options, technical details, the result and your model; section 4 applies. The price summary is sent by e-mail as a link that expires after 90 days; we delete the summary after 12 months.

6. Customer account and prototypes

We create your customer account with the first order confirmation. It shows order status, items, documents as PDF, your enquiries and prototypes, taken from our order system (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Passwords are stored only as an Argon2 hash; optional two-factor keys are stored encrypted. For prototype links we count views and store the time of the last view, without IP address (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The learning platform at lernen.statechprint.de has its own privacy policy.

7. AI assistant

The German pages offer an AI assistant. It starts only after you confirm the notice in the chat window. Your questions and the conversation so far are then sent to Anthropic, PBC (USA), which generates the answer with the Claude language model. We do not store the conversation; only the number of answers per day is counted. Anthropic acts as our processor (Art. 28 GDPR); the transfer to the USA is covered by the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a), Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by no longer using the assistant. Please do not enter personal or confidential data in the chat.

8. Disclosure

We do not pass your data to third parties except to the processors named (Hetzner for the server, IONOS for e-mail, Anthropic only for the AI assistant) or where required by law.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). An informal e-mail to info@statechprint.de is enough. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia, Kavalleriestr. 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.

10. Automated decisions

There is no automated decision-making or profiling under Art. 22 GDPR. The calculator's estimate and the assistant's answers are not binding and are not a decision on a contract.
